Read this part first. oddie runs on Solana mainnet. The SOL you stake is real money, it leaves your wallet when you take a side, and you can lose all of it. Take a side with money you are willing to lose.
In a Kick or Twitch chat, somebody types !oddie and a claim. On X they tag @oddiefun, on Telegram @oddiefunbot. A prediction market opens on that claim, on Solana, in its own vault. Anyone can take the YES side or the NO side. When the claim turns out true or false, the pool pays out.
You sign every transaction yourself. oddie never holds your private key and cannot move your funds. Once you take a side, your stake sits in that market's on-chain vault until the market settles or is refunded.
Opening a position sets aside a small amount of network rent. That is a cost of using the chain, not a fee oddie charges, and it comes back to your wallet when you collect, win or lose.
A market charges 4% of the pool, once, at settlement. Half of it (2%) goes to whoever opened the market, and for a market opened in a stream chat, to that channel. Half (2%) goes to oddie. Both rates are written into the market when it is created, so a later change to our rates can never reprice a market that is already open.
There is no fee for placing a bet, and no fee if you lose. The 4% is taken from the pool before winners split it.
The rule that decides a market is published when the market opens, before anyone takes a side. It does not change afterwards.
Settlement is done by oddie against the public record. A claim needs a date or a number, because a claim nobody can check is a claim nobody can settle. If the evidence is not there yet, the market waits rather than guessing.
Thirty days after a market closes, if it has not been settled, anyone can trigger a full refund of that market on chain. It does not need a signature from oddie, and we cannot block it. Your stake comes back to your wallet.
Adding oddie to your Kick or Twitch channel lets it read your chat to answer its commands, post in it, and pin a vote where you allow it. Every market opened in your chat pays your channel 2% of its pool, to the wallet you choose. You can remove oddie in your platform's connection settings at any time.
You are responsible for following your platform's rules and the law where you stream. Markets with money are for viewers 18 and over.
In a stream chat, !call opens a vote and the chat answers !yes or !no. Votes use no money. Being right scores points, more when the room disagreed and when you called it early, and the points rank the leaderboard.
Points are not currency. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are not a claim on any token, distribution or future payment.
Nothing on oddie is financial, investment, or legal advice. Prediction markets can go to zero. Only take a side with money you are willing to lose.
You are responsible for whether you are allowed to use a product like this where you live, and for being old enough to. If you are not, do not use it.
oddie is early and this page will change. The date at the top is when it last did. Material changes get said out loud on @oddiefun, not slipped in.
